A deeper clean for healthier gums

Professional cleanings that remove what brushing can’t — for fresher breath and healthier gums.

Healthy gums, healthy you

Cleanings that protect your whole mouth

Even with excellent brushing and flossing, plaque and hardened tartar build up in places you simply can’t reach at home — along the gumline and between teeth. Left alone, that buildup is the leading cause of gum disease, cavities and persistent bad breath.

Our hygiene team gently removes that buildup, polishes your teeth and checks the health of your gums at every visit. It’s the simplest habit with the biggest payoff — and there’s growing evidence that healthy gums support your overall health, too. You’ll leave with a mouth that feels genuinely fresh and clean.

Regular cleanings keep your gums firm, pink and healthy, and catch early signs of trouble.

Good to know

Cleaning questions

Do cleanings hurt?
They shouldn’t. Most patients find them comfortable. If your gums are sensitive or inflamed, let us know and we’ll take extra care to keep you comfortable.
How often should I have a cleaning?
Typically every six months, but some patients — especially those prone to gum issues — benefit from more frequent visits. We’ll advise what’s best for you.
My gums bleed when I brush — is that normal?
Bleeding gums are often an early sign of gum disease (gingivitis). A professional cleaning and checkup is the best first step, and it’s usually very reversible when caught early.
Will a cleaning whiten my teeth?
A cleaning removes surface stains and buildup, so your teeth often look brighter afterward. For a bigger change in shade, professional whitening is the way to go.
Can cleanings help my overall health?
Healthy gums are linked to better overall health. Keeping your mouth clean and inflammation-free is a simple habit that supports your wellbeing beyond just your smile.
What’s the difference between a cleaning and a deep cleaning?
A regular cleaning removes plaque and tartar above the gumline to keep healthy gums healthy. A deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) goes below the gumline to treat existing gum disease. After an exam we’ll let you know which one you need.
